BambooHR Setup Guide

Prerequisites

• An active BambooHR account.
• The Subdomain you use to access BambooHR. If you access BambooHR at mycompany.bamboohr.com, your subdomain is mycompany.

Note: BambooHR returns only the employees and fields the API key's user is allowed to see, so generate the key from a user with access to all the data you want to sync.

Setup Guide

Step 1: Obtain an API Key from BambooHR

1. Log in to your BambooHR account.
2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
3. Go to the API Keys section.
4. Click Add New Key.
5. Enter an API Key Name, for example Matia, and click Generate Key.
6. Click Copy Key and store the API Key securely - you will need it to configure your connection.
7. Click Done.

Step 2: Complete Configuration in Matia

1. Enter your BambooHR Subdomain.
2. Enter the API Key you generated in BambooHR.
3. Enter an Asset Name.
4. (Optional) Enter a Description.
5. (Optional) Assign Tags.
6. Select an Owner.
7. Verify that your BambooHR account is successfully connected by clicking on Test Connection.
8. Click Connect.
