Sentry Setup Guide
Prerequisites
- An active Sentry account with access to your organization's Settings and Developer Settings.
Note: Each connection supports a single Sentry organization. If you need to sync multiple organizations, set up a separate connection for each.
Setup Guide
Step 1: Obtain Organization ID, Project ID(s), and Auth Token from Sentry
- Log in to your Sentry account.
- Go to Settings → General Settings and note the Organization ID.
- Go to Settings → Projects, click into each project you want to sync, and note its Project ID.
- Go to Settings → Developer Settings → Auth Tokens.
- Click Create New Token, then click Create Auth Token.
- Enable the following read scopes:
org:read(Organization)project:read(Project)event:read(Issue & Event)
- Copy the generated Auth Token - you will need it to configure your connection.
When you click Test Connection, Matia verifies that your Auth Token can access the organization you entered and each of the project IDs you listed.
Note: Only Sentry organizations hosted on US data storage are supported. Organizations with EU data storage are not currently supported.
Step 2: Complete Configuration in Matia
- Enter the Organization ID.
- Enter the Project IDs you found as comma-separated values. Test Connection checks access to every listed project.
- Enter the Auth Token you just generated from Sentry.
- Enter an Asset Name.
- (Optional) Enter a Description.
- (Optional) Assign Tags.
- Select an Owner.
- Verify that your Sentry account is successfully connected by clicking on Test Connection.
- Click Connect.
