HiBob Setup Guide

Prerequisites

You need a HiBob account with Administrator permissions.

Setup Guide

• Create a service user

  1. Log in to your HiBob account.
  2. On the navigation menu, select Settings.
  3. Go to Integrations > Automation.
  4. Click Service Users.
  5. Click New Service User.
  6. Enter a Service User Name and Display Name.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Copy the Service User ID and Token — you'll need both to configure Matia.

• Assign permissions to the service user

  Choose one:

  • Create a new permission group

    1. Follow HiBob's create a custom permission group instructions.
    2. Remove any default conditions (e.g. Lifecycle status = Employed) so the group applies to service users.

  • Add the service user to an existing permission group

    1. On the navigation menu, select Settings.
    2. Go to Accounts > Permissions groups.
    3. Select the relevant group.
    4. Select Group actions > Edit details.
    5. Go to Select people by condition > Edit.
    6. In the Add specific employees dropdown, select Service Users, then select the service user you created above.
    7. Click Apply.
    8. Click Apply again on the Select people by condition pop-up.

• Connect HiBob in Matia

  1. Enter the User ID you copied above.
  2. Enter the Token you copied above.
  3. Enter a Name for the connector.
  4. Select the Owner of the connector.
  5. (Optional) Verify the connection by clicking Test Connection.
  6. Click Connect.
