Setup Guide

Step 1: Create Access Token

1. Navigate to the Samsara Settings Page and click on API Tokens
2. Click on Add an API Token.
3. In the “Token name” field, enter a descriptive name like Matia-Token.
4. Under Tag Access choose whether to restrict access to specific objects or to grant it to the entire organization.
5. Under “Scopes”, select the following read scopes:
   • Read Addresses
   • Read Alerts
   • Read Assignments
   • Read Defects (under Maintenance)
   • Read Documents (under Driver Workflow)
   • Read Drivers
   • Read DVIRs (under Maintenance)
   • Read ELD Compliance Settings (US) (under Compliance)
   • Read Equipment Statistics (under Equipment)
   • Read Fuel & Energy
   • Read Gateways (under Setup & Administration)
   • Read Routes (under Driver Workflow)
   • Read Safety Events & Scores (under Safety & Cameras)
   • Read Trailers
   • Read Tags (under Setup & Administration)
   • Read Users (under Setup & Administration)
   • Read Vehicles
   • Read Vehicle Trips (under Vehicles)
   • Read Vehicle Statistics (under Vehicles)
6. Click Generate token.
7. Copy the generated token and store it securely. You will not be able to view it again once you leave the page.

Step 2: Complete Configuration in Matia

1. Select the Region of your Samsara account.
2. Enter the Access token you just generated.
3. Enter an Asset Name.
4. (Optional) Enter a Description.
5. (Optional) Assign Tags.
6. Select an Owner.
7. Verify that your Samsara account is successfully connected by clicking on Test Connection.
8. Click Connect.
